Edward Stanley Rakowski

Edward Stanley Rakowski, 74, of Grandy, died November 26, 2020 at home. He was born February 21, 1946 in Norristown, Pa. Ed proudly served his country in the Army and was recognized for meritorious performance while serving as mechanized infantry rifle platoon leader and executive officer with the 4th battalion 54th infantry, 194th armored brigade of Fort Knox, Ky.

He was married to Nancy Merrihue and father to Kevin Rakowski (Laurie Rakowski), Andrew Rakowski  (Andrea Rakowski), Kimberly Rakowski Bart (Luke Bart) and stepdaughters Jennifer Carlsen (David Carlsen) and Kristen Kruithof (Brian Kruithof).  Ed is also survived by many grandchildren and sister Lorraine Dorsey (George).

A Celebration of Life is planned at their home December 4. Visitation is between 2-7 p.m. with COVID guidelines followed. In lieu of flowers, consider donating to the American Cancer Society on behalf of Ed.
