Registration open for Northeast Craft Workshop

Registration is currently being accepted for the 2018 Northeast Craft Workshop that will be held this year on May 8 and 9 at the Vernon G. James Research and Extension Center in Plymouth.

The annual workshop, hosted by the local centers for North Carolina Cooperative Extension and volunteers, is designed for and open to anyone interested in learning a craft, no matter their age or skill level. Classes will include: basic stained glass, basketry, cottonwood bark carving, crocheting, decoy carving and painting, embroidery, fly fish tying, glass etching, basic jewelry, silver jewelry, knitting, needle felting, painting in acrylics, painting with alcohol ink, watercolor painting, quilting, yo-yo quilt square, seagrass stools and silk scarf dyeing.

Registration will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis until an April 2 deadline. Registration forms and class details can be requested from Currituck’s Extension Center at 252-232-2261 and are also posted on the center’s website at currituck.ces.ncsu.edu.

The registration fee is $10 per day, plus a class kit fee, which varies depending on the class selected. All registration fees and kit fees are non-refundable but are transferable and must be received by the registration deadline.
